Slingshot works with After Effects 2022 and newer. It's a CEP extension, so any version of AE that supports the Extensions panel will run it.

Download the ZIP and extract the ZXP file. Install it using the free ZXP/UXP Installer by dragging and dropping the ZXP into the installer. Restart After Effects and find Slingshot under Window → Extensions.
Confetti mode keyframes the scatter as an animated explosion — layers start at the launch point and animate outward to their final positions with scale, rotation, and opacity. Drag up on the confetti icon to adjust speed.
Spread controls how wide the scatter fan is (narrow beam vs wide spray). Reach controls how far from the launch point layers land. Drag up or down on each control in the toolbar to adjust.
Yes. Hold Shift when releasing the slingshot and Slingshot will duplicate your selected layers and scatter the copies, leaving the originals in place.
