Dispatch sends comps to the render queue, already named and filed, so you do not have to rebuild the output path for every export. It is a free micro tool in Motion Dock.

Choose the comps in the Project panel, then click Dispatch. If no comps are selected there, Dispatch uses the active comp.

A plain click adds items to After Effects' Render Queue and leaves them waiting. Each comp gets its own output path.

Keep each project’s exports together

The starting destination is a dated renders folder beside the saved project. The starting file pattern uses the comp name and a version number, such as Intro_v01.mov. Dispatch creates missing folders and advances the version past matching names on disk and in the queue.

This is useful when you export revisions often, queue several comps together, or keep master, review, and frame-sequence outputs in different places.

Set up a preset once

A preset holds the folder, file pattern, output module template, render settings template, and range. Open the sliders button, or right-click the main button, to edit it.

Presets live in the project. Save the project to keep them with the file. The starting presets need matching templates in your copy of After Effects.

Queue first, render when ready

Start with your first dispatch. Once the destination is right, you can render immediately or send to Media Encoder with modifier keys.

For items already waiting in the queue, Re-path queued updates their folder and file names without adding another copy.
