Open module settings

In Motion Dock, enter Edit layout, right-click Dispatch’s slot, and choose Module settings. You can also double-click its slot while editing the layout. Leave layout mode when you are done.

These defaults are separate from the Presets editor inside Dispatch. They supply the three starting presets when a project has no saved Dispatch presets. Existing project presets keep their own values.

Use module defaults for the way you usually start a project. Use the preset editor for the project you are working on now.

Defaults

SettingDefaultPurpose
Default folder{project folder}/renders/{date}Starting output destination. Relative folders start beside the saved project.
Default file name{comp}_v{##}Starting file pattern. Leave out the extension.
Default rangeWork areaStarting time span. The other choice is Full comp.

The same folder and file tokens work here. Empty default text values fall back to the built-in values shown above.

After project presets have been stored, change them through Presets. Save the project to retain those project-specific edits. The module defaults do not change an existing render queue item’s output.
