Add Ditto to Motion Dock

  1. Click Edit layout in Motion Dock’s top bar.
  2. Click an empty area of the layout and choose Ditto from the module picker.
  3. Click Exit layout mode to use the tool.

If Ditto is already in this layout, use its existing slot.

Copy one Glow

  1. Open a practice composition with two unlocked solid layers. Name one Glow source and the other Glow target.
  2. Add Glow to Glow source. Set Glow Radius to 40 and Glow Intensity to 2.
  3. Deselect all layers. Select Glow source, then add Glow target to the selection.
  4. Move into Ditto. Confirm that the chip says from Glow source and the summary says Glow with one other layer. If the source is wrong, correct the selection before continuing.
  5. Click Copy.

Select Glow target and open its effects. It should now have a Glow with Glow Radius 40 and Glow Intensity 2. Add Missing Effects starts on, so the target does not need a Glow beforehand.

Use Edit > Undo in After Effects to reverse the copy.

If the summary says Pick what to copy, open the source chip and check Glow. Select 2+ means only the source is selected. Add the destination layer, then click Copy again. If Nothing copied appears because the target has no Glow, check Add Missing Effects.
