Offset a Position animation
Math changes key values while leaving their times alone. Choose an operation, a number and an axis before running it.
The operation and axis buttons only choose how Math will work. Click Math or press Enter in its value field to apply the change.
- Select the Position keys to move.
- Click More.
- In the Math row, choose + and X.
- Enter
50in the value field and press Enter.
Position values [100, 100] and [200, 100] become [150, 100] and [250, 100]. The Y values stay the same. This shifts the keyed positions horizontally without shifting their timing.
Choose the operation
| Operation | Result for each targeted value |
|---|---|
| + | Adds the entered number. |
| − | Subtracts the entered number. |
| × | Multiplies by the entered number. |
| ÷ | Divides by the entered number. Zero is refused. |
| = | Replaces the value with the entered number. |
Use All to change every component of a numeric value. X, Y and Z choose the first, second and third components. For separated Position, each axis button matches its corresponding Position property. Other single-number properties, such as Opacity, respond to All or X.
Math skips nonnumeric values, such as text and shape paths. Those keys aren’t numbers means none of the targeted keys can use Math. No keys on that axis means the chosen component does not exist in the targeted properties. Choose All, or select the matching dimension. Can’t divide by zero means you need a nonzero divisor.
Stamp a value at the playhead
Select the individual properties in the Timeline, move the playhead, then click Stamp in the main panel. It writes a key on every eligible selected property, including properties with no existing keys. A key already at that time is updated.
Stamp reads the value before expressions. It does not capture the expression’s visible result. Use Bake for expression-driven motion.
Select properties to stamp means you need to select properties, rather than only layers or a property group. For separated Position, select X Position, Y Position or Z Position directly. Those properties can’t take a key means none of the eligible writes succeeded.
