Sploosh
Free liquid simulation for After Effects. Pour, splash, and swirl real liquid live, let your own layers catch, carry, and melt into it, then bake it into your comp as shape layers you can edit.
Got Any Questions?
Sploosh works with After Effects 2022 and newer. It is a CEP extension, so any version of After Effects with the Extensions panel runs it.
Yes. Free forever, with no trial, no watermark, and no locked features. Download it and start pouring.
Download the ZIP and extract the ZXP file. Install it with the free ZXP/UXP Installer by dragging the ZXP into the installer. Restart After Effects and open Sploosh from Window → Extensions.
You can edit it. Bake writes the whole simulation into your comp as shape layers, with each liquid's gloss, glow and shadow on Essential Properties. If you'd rather render fast, set Droplets to Images (fast render) in the settings and Sploosh bakes PNG sequences beside your project instead.
Yes. Select layers in your comp, click New, and they come into the lab. Set each one to Obstacle, Container, Drain, or Fill, and tick Follows its animation so a moving layer carries, tips, and pours whatever it holds.
You choose. The Detail setting trades keyframes for size: Fine keeps every nuance, Light keeps the project small, and the blur hides most of the difference. A bigger Droplet size also fills the frame with fewer droplets.
