In Motion Dock, enter Edit layout, select Snippy, and click Module settings in the top bar. You can also double-click its slot in layout mode or right-click it and choose Module settings.
Settings save as you change them and carry across projects. Changing a setting does not change layers until you run an action.
The panel's Pad and WPM fields edit the same padding and reading-speed settings shown here.
Settings
| Setting | Default | Range | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Padding (frames) | 0 | −999 to 999, whole frames | Adds handles around keyframe and marker ranges. Negative values tighten them. See trimming. |
| Reading speed (WPM) | 200 | 1 to 2000 | Sets the word-count rate for Read time. The inline WPM field uses steps of five. |
| Read padding (seconds) | 0.5 | 0 to 600 | Adds time to every Read time layer before rounding to frames. |
| Sequence read-time layers | Off | On or off | Makes Read time arrange text layers end to end. Shift-click reverses this once. |
| Fit comp moves content to 0 | Off | On or off | Off adjusts the comp display start to preserve timecode. On keeps the existing display start. Shift-click reverses this once. See comp fitting. |
