Switched applies layer switches across selected layers, a whole comp, or every precomp inside it, so you can stop opening timelines to repeat the same change. It is a free micro tool in Motion Dock.

Choose a scope at the top, then click a switch. Comp is the default. The switch dots summarize the eligible layers in that scope.

For a small first result, turn on motion blur for two selected layers.

Reach inside precomps

Nested includes the active comp and all precomps inside it, at every depth. It reaches their layers as well as the precomp layers in the parent timeline. Comps outside that tree stay outside the operation.

The ten controls cover motion blur, collapse transformations, quality, frame blending, 3D, shy, locking, guide layers, adjustment layers, and audio. Each control only changes layers that support it. The switch reference lists those rules.

Put expensive work on hold

Draft temporarily suspends enabled effects and expressions. By default, it also changes full-resolution comps in scope to Half.

Click again to restore the remembered work. Effects and expressions that were already off stay off. The Draft guide explains exclusions, adding more layers, and restoring after edits.

Each switch change, Draft on, and Draft off is one After Effects undo step. Use Edit > Undo to reverse the last action.
