In Motion Dock, enter Edit layout, select Switched, then click Module settings in the top bar. You can also double-click the slot in layout mode or right-click it and choose Module settings.
Settings save as you change them and carry across projects. They affect the next operation. Changing a Draft setting does not revise work already suspended.
The defaults lower full-resolution comps during Draft, keep Fill and Matte effects running, and skip locked layers.
| Setting | Default | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Half Resolution in Draft | On | Draft changes full-resolution comps in scope to Half and remembers their original resolution. See resolution and restore rules. |
| Draft Keeps | Fill, Matte | Comma-separated effect names that Draft leaves enabled, including expressions inside those effects. |
| Include Locked Layers | Off | Switches and Draft suspension can temporarily unlock layers, change them, and relock them. Lock itself always includes locked layers. |
Match effects to keep
Draft Keeps matches text anywhere in either the effect’s displayed name or its internal effect type name. Matching ignores case. Matte therefore keeps any effect whose name contains that text, including a renamed effect with Matte in its name.
Separate entries with commas. Spaces around entries are removed. Empty entries and repeated names are ignored. Each entry is limited to 60 characters, and the first 40 distinct entries are used. Leave the field empty to suspend every eligible enabled effect and expression, including those inside effects previously kept.
The saved scope is chosen in the main panel. It is not another setting in this form.
