With no Odo counter selected, your choices prepare the next counter. With an Odo counter selected, changes apply to it immediately. The live dot beside the preview identifies that state.

Money and percentages

For $1,234.50, set To to 1234.5, click the $ prefix button, and choose 2 under Places in ⋯. Keep Group at 1,000 and Mark at ..

The quick buttons update the preview immediately. Click the decimal button to add a place, or Alt-click to remove one. The button cycles between zero and four places.

Use Text for a custom prefix or suffix. Include your own spaces, such as EUR before the number or users after it. Enter commits the text. Escape cancels the text edit.

For 1.234,50, choose 1.000 under Group and , under Mark. These drawer choices are independent.

The % suffix adds a character. It does not multiply the value by 100. Enter 75 for 75%, or enter 0.75 with two decimal places for 0.75%.

Time and countdowns

Time values are seconds. For a countdown from two minutes and five seconds, enter 125 under From, 0 under To, and choose mm:ss with the timer button or Style in ⋯.

The start displays 02:05 and the end displays 00:00. The panel rests on the end value between previews.

The values do not set the animation length. Choose Linear for an even clock and retime its Value keys to control how long it runs.

Style in the drawerDisplayBehavior
123Plain numberRounds to the chosen decimal places and applies grouping.
1.2KCompactUses K, M, B, or T at thousands, millions, billions, or trillions. Below 1,000, values round to whole numbers.
mm:ssMinutes and secondsMinutes can exceed 59. Decimal places apply to the seconds.
h:m:sHours, minutes, and secondsHours can exceed 23. Decimal places apply to the seconds.
ss.ffSeconds and framesUses the comp’s frame rate rounded to a whole number. Decimal places do not affect the frame field.

The ss.ff panel preview uses 30 fps. The text in the comp uses its own rounded frame rate, so the frame digits can differ. This style is seconds and frames, without drop-frame timecode rules. Mark chooses the separator between seconds and frames.

Compact totals and scoreboards

Set To to 1250000, choose 1.2K, and set Places to 1 for 1.3M. Rounding can promote a value to the next unit near a boundary.

Under Zeros, enter the minimum digit count. A value of 7 with four zeros displays 0007 when grouping is off. Padding affects the whole-number part, or the first time field. Grouping still applies to padded number and compact styles.

Choose ± under Sign to add + to positive values. Negative values keep their minus sign, and a rounded zero has no sign. The sign comes before the prefix, as in -$12.50.

Prefix and suffix text each allow 40 characters. Line breaks become spaces. From and To accept up to four decimal places and values from −1 trillion to +1 trillion.

Click Reset to restore the default format. It leaves From, To, and the chosen ease unchanged.
