The two Gesture tools in the rail record what your mouse does while the scene plays. A performance replays exactly the same way every time, and it bakes like everything else.
Pour
- Click the Pour gesture in the rail. With nothing selected, the inspector shows the Pour brush: the liquid it pours and its settings.
- Hold the mouse on the stage. The scene plays and records you in real time, pouring liquid wherever the pointer goes.
- Let go to stop. Moving while you pour throws the liquid in that direction.
Stir
- Click the Stir gesture.
- Hold and swirl on the stage. The liquid under the pointer is pushed along with it.
Stirring is how the Colour of the Year piece on the Sploosh page turns three drifting paints into marble.
Editing a Performance
A recorded pour or stir appears on the stage and can be selected like any other item. Select it to change its liquid or delete it with ⌫. To redo a performance, delete it and record again.
Performances are recorded against the scene as it plays. If you later move a prop the pour was aimed at, the pour stays where you made it.
