Add motion without keys
- Select an unlocked layer in an open composition. With no individual property selected, Wiggle targets Position.
- Choose Wiggle in Springy.
- Set Amount and Speed, then click Apply Wiggle or Apply.
- Preview the comp. After applying, release a control adjustment to update the live behavior.
Wiggle adds random variation around the property’s existing value. It also works over keyframed animation. Select a different numeric property, such as Rotation, to wiggle that instead. Amount uses that property’s units, so the same number means different things for Position, Rotation, or Scale.
Use Axis to keep a multidimensional property on X or Y. Both allows every component, including Z on a 3D property.
Jagged layers rougher noise onto the smooth default drift.
Axis restriction acts on components of the selected property. A one-dimensional property has no separate X and Y components, so Axis does not restrict it. With separated Position, each follower is a one-dimensional property. Select only the follower you want to move.
Repeat the noise seamlessly
Set Loop to the duration you want in seconds. For example, 2.0s repeats the noise every two seconds. Off means the noise does not repeat. This timing starts at composition time zero.
The noise repeats around the property’s current base value. If the underlying keyframed motion does not repeat, the entire result will not match at the loop boundary. Use a static base or a matching keyed cycle for a seamless whole animation.
If the layer stays still
Check Amount and Speed. Zero amount adds no displacement. Check whether another selected property received the behavior instead of Position.
Has its own expression means Wiggle was skipped to preserve that expression. Springy does not combine its behavior with an unrelated expression. The replacement setting lets you choose whether to overwrite it.
