In Motion Dock, enter Edit layout, select Springy, and click Module settings in the top bar. You can also double-click its slot in layout mode or right-click it and choose Module settings.
Settings save as you change them and carry across projects.
Bake Every affects the next bake. Replace Other Expressions affects the next application of a behavior.
| Setting | Default | Range | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bake Every | 1 | 1–10 frames | Write a key at this frame interval across the composition work area. |
| Replace Other Expressions | Off | Off or On | Off skips properties with non-Springy expressions. On allows Springy to overwrite them. |
Choose a bake interval
Keep Bake Every at 1 for a sample every frame. Larger values produce fewer keys and can miss quick oscillations or wiggles. The work area sets the range, not the layer’s in and out points. Read what baking keeps and removes before using it.
Replace another expression deliberately
With Replace Other Expressions off, an existing unrelated expression is skipped even if it is disabled. Springy can still replace its own behaviors.
Turning this on replaces the entire old expression on each eligible target. It does not combine the two or keep a backup. Use After Effects’ undo history if you need to restore the overwritten expression.
The behavior controls in the main panel are separate from these settings. Their defaults and ranges are in the controls reference.
